Snow! In the Low Country!!

Uncle, uncle, Mother Nature!
No more will I whimper that it's been too cold in the low country. Be feeling blah and grumbling about gray skies while other places are really getting hit with substantial winter weather.

Thank you, though, for having a forgiving heart and only sending 2 inches that was gone by 1 p.m.

Friday, 11 p.m.

Saturday 8:30 a.m.

Hilton Head Island didn't receive any snow.

  1. Mother Nature is definitely sharing winter all over the US. Glad your snow was gone in a few hours - now that's the kind that I could enjoy! Be safe and warm.

  3. What a gorgeous shot of it snowing at night and how odd to see palm trees and snow in the same photo!

    Stay warm!!

  4. Thanks for stopping by, Laure! I know - almost as strange as snow on saguaro cactus :)

  5. Interesting that 1959 was your last snow . . . .it is just such an everyday event up here especially this year but no big storms. Our Yellow Lab Edna just lives for the snow!! She gets really wild in all of it. Lots of birds at the feeders today. We fed Chickadees, Titmice and Rosy Breasted Nuthatches out of our hands last Sunday on the Songbird Trail at Mendon.

  6. Sorry Carol, my writing isn't clear - last snow was 1989. I'm so jealous that you went to Mendon Ponds Park!! I remember feeling all the birds eyes on us as we entered the trail. The titmice really push off your hand don't they??

It's so funny about dogs. Ours were so insulted with the white stuff..... almost worse that us :)
